(Re)Present

This exhibition started as an examination of painting (n.) as illusion, commodity and material.  I utilized these categories as starting places for creating, but soon found concepts spilling out of any neat classification system.  Perhaps because of my extended long distance relationship with my wife, underlying concepts of Time and Relation crept to the forefront of ideas expressed within the art works. It’s these ideas that serve to bind the pieces within the exhibition together but so too humanize the works.
